Fly Without Limits Foundation Launched by Paralympian Matt Scott to Support People with Disabilities
Fly Without Limits, a new non-profit created by Paralympian Matt Scott, aims to break down barriers, provide essential resources, and create opportunities for people with permanent physical disabilities.
On November 6, 2023, Matt Scott, a five-time Paralympic Wheelchair Basketball athlete for Team USA, announced the launch of his new foundation, Fly Without Limits. The latest addition to Scott’s resume, Fly Without Limits is a global social impact foundation dedicated to helping people with permanent physical disabilities reach their full potential.
Scott has developed a profound perspective about life with a disability, having been born with a congenital birth defect called Spina Bifida. Driven by his firsthand experience of the many unmet needs of the disability community, Scott founded Fly Without Limits as a meaningful way to contribute by bridging the gap between the needs of people living with physical disabilities and the resources available to them.
Scott’s many achievements, including three Paralympic medals, a nearly two-decade career as a professional athlete across four different countries, and his corporate professional career with VISA, attest to his resilience and understanding of the tools needed to overcome the challenges faced by people with disabilities.
“I believe everyone deserves to live a fulfilling life, regardless of their physical abilities,” said Scott. “Fly Without Limits is committed to breaking down barriers, providing essential resources, and creating opportunities that enable people to fully engage in society, pursue their passions, and reach their fullest potential.
