iSpokes journalists are people who have a passion for writing and sharing the stories of others within the spinal cord injury community.
What we’re looking for –
Feature articles, athlete profile stories, wheelchair sporting event reporting, advocacy and legislation reporting, accessible travel articles, health & fitness tips and articles and unique new product reports.
What you get –
Complimentary digital subscription to SPORTS `N SPOKES magazine (with good standing as iSpoke citizen journalist of at least six published articles).
Media credentials to major sporting events (as needed).
Opportunity for paid compensation as a freelance contributor (as needed).
Articles should be between 500 – 800 words long and meet AP style standards. Feature stories should be between 800-1000 words long. Unique photos should accompany each article and should be high-resolution jpeg format. All articles will be fact-checked and edited for space and accuracy prior to going live on our website.
