Currently ranked 18th in the world, Taylor has been competing as a boccia player since 2011, following a stretch in wheelchair tennis where he earned four Paralympic medals and 11 Grand Slam titles.

Ahead of the Seoul games, Taylor and the other Boccia United States competitors will play at their home base of Lakeshore Foundation in Birmingham, Ala., from July 17 – 22 for the Birmingham 2026 World Boccia Challenger. This will be the first time since 2017 that an international boccia competition has been hosted in the U.S.
