Welcome to the new SPORTS `N SPOKES website

Hey Spokes! It’s been a long time in the making, but we’re pleased to announce the launching of our new website, sportsnspokes.com.

For those who have been following us since we launched our last website nearly a decade ago, you’re going to see some major changes.

Firstly, and something we’re most stoked about is our mobile-friendly environment. Gone are the days of zooming, panning and trying to read the latest articles while using your mobile device. You’re about to enjoy a user-friendly and safe connection to our site from all desktops, smartphones and tablets.

And it’s a good thing too because we have so much in store for you. Just take a look at the new Media Galleries. We’re working to keep them bursting with rich, vibrant images from all the events we cover and beyond. You’ll be able to find our latest videos, as well. So, don’t be shy and take a look around.

You’ll notice that the site is much brighter and boasts a lot of white space, with clear, crisp articles that are categorized into myriad sporting, recreation and news groups. Juniors, we have you covered as well with your own section that’s dedicated to all our young athletes and organizations that help spark interest in wheelchair sports and recreation.

And for those of our readers with certain mobility and visual impairments, our site now meets current Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 AA standards.

If you’re looking for something to do in your area, look no further than our new Event Calendar, located under the Community tab. Never have the days of the week looked so good. The Calendar gives you a host of information on sporting and recreation events, including ways to export your favorite events to your iCal or Google calendar. There’s also a spot for you to share your events with us so we can help promote them with everyone.

Our new Someone You Should Know segment will highlight outstanding individuals or organizations we believe deserve a pat on the back, and we encourage you to let us know about folks in your area who you think fit that role.

We hope you enjoy your visit to the new sportsnspokes.com and that you’ll keep coming back as we continue to bring you the best in wheelchair sports and recreation.
